LECJamestown (CSi)  Stutsman County Emergency Manager, Jerry Bergquist reports, the Jamestown Police Department has moved its downstairs Shift Commanders office upstairs to greatly improve internal work efficiencies by being closer to its overall police operation. Individuals with law enforcement business may go to the main floor lobby of the LEC Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and speak to a representative of the Jamestown Police Department, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office or the ND Highway Patrol.

In addition, the lower level of the LEC will be open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. for individuals to access the Stutsman County Veteran’s Service and Emergency Management offices. Lower level access will be limited to those offices and the meeting rooms.

Because there will no longer be a law enforcement presence downstairs, beginning February 2, 2015 the lower level will be locked after regular business hours, weekends and holidays. During the “off hour” times, individuals with law enforcement business can call the Stutsman County Communications Center at 701-252-1000. A courtesy phone located at the entrance of the LEC is available to make the call. Once notified, the Dispatcher will arrange for an officer to contact the individual. As always, in an emergency, call 9-1-1.

Jail operations will remain the same with normal business hours being Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A “call box” located in the main floor lobby will continue to be available to speak to a Correction Officer.
