Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — October saw a large increase in Jamestown airline boardings.

On Thursday’s (Nov 1, 2012) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Jamestown Regional Airport Manager, Matthew Leitner said, the October 2012 Jamestown Great Lakes Airlines boarding were 261. That’s compared to a usually slow September 2012 number of 171, and 525 boardings in September of 2011.

All enplanes including arrivals in Jamestown in September this year were over 500.

Leitner said the increase in Jamestown boardings is attributed to the integration of airline loyalty programs, and continue excellent “on-time,” record, and competitive fares.

He added Great Lakes Airlines may implement a morning schedule change, however that has not officially been applied for yet by the airline.

The change would move the 9: 15 a.m. departure from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., with the arrival moving from 9-a.m., to 9: 30 a.m.

Leitner pointed out that the recent airlines delays, caused by hub airports in the east, due to superstorm Sandy, had no affect on Jamestown flights, and no delays occurred.

Leitner reminded air travels to take advantage of travel agencies in Jamestown to book flights, as the travel agencies can also provide information concerning the city of destination.
