Jamestown (CSi) University of Jamestown head women’s soccer coach Nick Becker has announced the signing of Caelie Williams of Pierre SD who will join the Jimmies in the 2015-2016 season.
Caelie played soccer at T.F. Riggs High School where she was awarded 2011 Up and Coming Player of the Year, 2012 Honorable Mention, 2013 First Team All State and Finalist for Goal of the Year, and in 2014 she was team captain, MVP, First Team All-Conference, AA Girls Elite II, First Team All-State, and South Dakota’s Female Soccer Player of the Year. In addition, she was part of the Oahe FC U12-U18 and South Dakota United U14 – U18.
Coach Becker says of Williams, “Caelie is a very good player who is going to provide us with a high soccer IQ and a very well rounded competitive background.”
Caelie plans to major in Radiologic Technology and will be a welcome addition to the University of Jamestown family. She said of her decision, “it turned out to be the perfect fit for me. I fell in love with the campus and the team.” Caelie is the daughter of Shawn & Britt Williams.
Head women’s soccer coach Nick Becker has also announced the signing of Ashley Greenlund of Horace, ND who will join the Jimmies in the 2015-2016 season.
Ashley played soccer for four years at West Fargo High School where she was awarded the coaches award. She also played with the West Fargo Soccer Club, Jamestown Soccer Club, and the Tri-City Soccer club.
Coach Becker says of Greenlund, “”Ashley is a strong central midfielder who is going to add a high work rate and good technical ability throughout our midfield.”
Ashley plans to major in psychology at the University of Jamestown. In addition to soccer, she played basketball and volleyball in high school. She says of her decision to attend the University of Jamestown, “I felt very comfortable with the players and coaches, and I also like the small hometown feel of the campus.”
Nick Becker has announced the signing of Alexis Young of West Fargo, ND who will join the Jimmies in the 2015-2016 season.
Young played soccer at West Fargo High School where she was a starting varsity player during her entire four-year high school career. During that time, in soccer she won three letters, MVP Defender, Spirit Award, and Team Captain. She also participated in cross-country where she was a 5-year letter winner, Team Captain in 2013-2014, and All-EDC in 2013.
Coach Becker says of Young, “Alex is a very hard working player that will bring that extra level of energy to the game and to our backline.”
Alexis plans to major in marketing and will be a welcome addition to the University of Jamestown family. She is the daughter of Jeff and Terri Young.
