Jamestown (CSi) The Environmental Protection Agency and the North Dakota Department of Health have announced that the City of Jamestown did not collect or report the required chlorine and chloramine residual samples during the months of October through December in 2014.
City officials announced that the city could not be sure of the quality of drinking water during that time period.
In a news release, the City of Jamestown said that they regret the error in monitoring and reporting requirements of the Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule.
The city has also pointed out that steps are being taken to ensure adequate procedures are taken in the future.
The City sent releases to residential areas on February 28th announcing the failure to monitor.
