Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Nov 6, 2012) — Jamestown Police is warning Jamestown Residents of a convicted sex offender, who has changed address in Jamestown.

The report says, 42 year old Gero Mahto  has moved from 331  4th Avenue, Southwest in Jamestown, and as of Dec. 4, 2012,  now resides at

414 4th Street Northeast, in Jamestown..Apt # 1.

His vehicle is a Blue and White 1990 Ford F250 Pickup with North Dakota License

JSZ 185. Also a Green 1998 Ford Expedition (ND) Notary Sticker.

Mahto has been assigned a High Risk Assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee of the North Dakota Attorney General’s Office.

He was convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition. During a period of three months in 1992, Mahto forcibly raped four women. He has been incarcerated since his convictions.

He will be on probation with the North Dakota Parole and Probation Department.

Mahto is not wanted by police at this time, and has served the sentence imposed by the court.

This notice is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender.

Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders, families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
