Jamestown (CSi) – Friday afternoon, April 10, a rural fire was reported east of the airport, north of 34th St SE (old number 10) and east of 87 Ave SE. Stutsman County is currently under a burn ban.
Stutsman County Emergency Manager, Jerry Bergquist says, when the fire occurred, Stutsman County was in the “moderate” fire rating. He says the land owner was doing a controlled burn of a slough. No acreage involved was available. with the rural fire department on the scene about one hour.

Bergqust adds, that last weekend there were three grass fires in Stutsman County, none of which caused any significant damage.
