Crystal Springs (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a single vehicle accident Friday morning about 11:20 a.m., injured a Dickinson man.
The Neon driven by 18 year old David Myran was eastbound on the left lane of I-94 near Crystal Springs at 75 miles per hour with cruise control in use. Myran directed his attention away from the roadway to an energy drink in the vehicle.
The Neon drifted into the median. Myran attempted to correct the vehicle by steering to the right. The vehicle returned to the eastbound lanes but continued to slide out of control. It re-entered the median, rolled and came to rest across both westbound lanes.
Traffic was directed around the vehicle until it was removed.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Highway Patrol was assisted by Tappen Fire & Rescue, Steele Fire & Rescue, and Medina Ambulance which transported Myran to a Bismarck hospital.
