Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The James River Humane Society, announces that November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month.

On Friday’s (Nov 9, 2012) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, JRHS President, Jennifer Barnard said, during the month, all animals over the age of seven can be adopted at a discounted rate of $75.

She pointed out that the cookbooks have arrived, and are on sale for $20, with the proceeds benefiting the local shelter.

The cookbooks will also be at the shelter’s upcoming fundraisers, and a few are available at the shelter, located off the I-94 Bloom Exit.

Upcoming fundraisers will include:

A Bake Sale Saturday December 8, 2012 from 10-a.m. to 2-p.m., at the Buffalo Mall.

Those interested in donating items may drop them off at the mall’s K-Mart entrance about 9:30-a.m.

A brunch will be held at Applebee’s in Jamestown on Saturday December 15, 2012, and Humane Society board members will be selling tickets for the fundraiser.

Ms. Barnard added, the JRHS largest fundraiser, The Potato Bar, is set for March 9, 2013, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jamestown.

Tickets at $10 for the meal and will also be the entry for the raffle.
