NDHP2Oriska  (CSi)  The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports four  indivisuals  were injured after the driver fell asleep at the wheel on I-94 near Oriska Sunday about 3:07 p.m.

 47 year-old Cynthia Moen of Fargo was traveling eastbound on I-94 operating a 2011 Toyota Rav4,  when she fell asleep and drove into the median. The vehicle struck a culvert and landed on the westbound side of the median. The vehicle continued onto the paved portion and then back into the median.  All four individuals had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Two individuals and one juvenile were transported to Mercy Hospital. They are listed as 80 year old Elaine Krogstad of Crookston, Minnesota, and 73 year old Sylvia Moen, of Crookston.

Sylvian Moen was later transported to Sanford Health in Fargo for non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

The Juvenile was not identified in the report.

Assisting at the scene were  the Barnes County sheriff’s Department, Valley City Fire department, Barnes County Ambulance.
