tracYesvoteJamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Canvassing board, consisting of the five City Council Members, Monday, certified the June 2, 2015 election ballots, where voters approved the one percent City Sales Tax for the construction and operation of the first phase of the Two Rivers Activity Center (TRAC.)

City Administrator Jeff Fuchs says the ‘yes’ votes were 1773 compared to the unofficial total of 1771

The ‘no’ votes went from 1178 to 1180.

Fuchs says the four additional votes stemmed from:

One ballot approved, which was held for the signature comparison.

One ballot that was added had not been signed by a long-term care resident.

Two ballots that were added did not have initials by election officials.

2,953 Total Ballots Cast.

The Jamestown Canvassing Board’s certification now goes to the North Dakota Secretary of State’s Office for the official certification.
