VCFD2Valley City (CSi) The Valley City Fire Department was called to Wells Fargo Bank at about 1:25 p.m., Monday.

Fire Chief Gary Retterath says no flames were visible, adding that caused a delay in finding the source of the smell of smoke, which may have been caused by a faulty electric motor, or light fixture.

Fire fighters extracted smoke from the building, and bank officials will have a repair company locate and repair the issue.
