Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a motorcycle – pickup,trailer accident on I-94, near Jamestown, Saturday just before 5-p.m.
59 year old Lawrence Doll, of Fargo was heading westbound when he made an improper turn on a crossover west of the Highway 281 exit. Two other riders slowed and drove onto the left shoulder to avoid a collision. 60 year old Michael Jones of Dickinson, was in the process of merging and was unable to avoid collision with the motorcycle.
Doll’s motorcycle slid onto its left side and came to rest on the left lane. Doll was thrown from the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet, but he did have protective clothing. He suffered some scuffs and bruising and was able to walk off the driving lane.
Neither Jones nor his 58 year old passenger Kin Jones of Dickinson were injured.
He was cited for care required.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
