Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Regional Medical Center Foundation continues support for expansion of patient care through summer community events. Concert for Care will be held Thursday, July 16 followed by the 5th Annual GOLF “fore” GOOD Tournament on Friday, July 17.
JRMC Foundation Director Lisa Jackson says, “We are excited for this summer’s events. Our goals include bringing the community together and funding emergency and radiology services at the concert and cancer care through golf.”
The Concert for Care will be an all-ages barbeque and street dance held on 2nd Ave SW, in front of the Elks and Bank Forward. A barbeque will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the street dance will be held from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The funds raised from the event will support both JRMC and the Anne Carlsen Center. Tickets are $10 with food and drinks available for purchase at the event. Event is sponsored by Cork & Barrel Liquors as well as community partners.
The 5th Annual GOLF “fore” GOOD Tournament drives cancer care home. The tournament will be held at the Jamestown Country Club. This event is co-sponsored by Farmers Union Insurance, The Davis Group and Physicians Realty Trust. Other major sponsors committed to this years’ tournament include Wilhelm GMC Buick, Newman Signs, Hillerud Construction, Alerus Financial, AgStar Financial Services, Great River Energy, Elaine Nieland Family, Edward Jones Investments – Patrick Nygaard, Sanford Health and Dixon Golf. Proceeds will be in dedication to those conquering cancer for the launch of the oncology unit at JRMC.
Registration per player is $100 and includes 18-hole golf scramble, cart, meals, drink tickets, chances to win prizes, and a swag bag (valued at $100). The Hole-in-One is presented by Don Wilhelm and Dixon Golf. Deadline for registration is July 13th.
