Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Park Board has agreed to start contract talks with a risk management firm and created a committee to hire an owner’s representative to oversee construction management of the planned Two Rivers Activity Center Tuesday during a special meeting.
Jamestown-based Interstate Engineering offered the sole bid to provide owner’s representative services during development and construction of TRAC.
Commission Chairman Mike Landscoot said the contracting process could start with Interstate Engineering as long as proper notice of the bid was given and other firms had fair notice to apply.
In other business, the commission created a five-person selection committee to review firms that would bid for the construction management at-risk (CMAR) contract with the TRAC project.
Parks and Rec Director Doug Hogan says, more special meetings will be held, because the Park Board will need to make decisions in cetain areas
