Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Parkboard has approved 5 percent increases for the Parks and Recreation Department’s full- and part-time employees.
The commission approved 3-2, with Chairman Mike Landscoot and member Richard Ryan opposed, a 5 percent increase for the Parks and Recreation Department’s 12 full-time employees.
The department’s part-time employees are paid an hourly wage ranging from $7.50 to $12 depending on the position and experience. With the 5 percent increase the hourly wages will range from $7.88 to $12.60.
The Parkboard will decide whether or not it will increase its members monthly salary at its September meeting.
Members currently receive $100 a month and the chairman receives $150 a month. Members also receive free family passes for Hillcrest Municipal Golf Course and Jamestown Municipal Swimming Pool while in office.
