BSkywestUnited2ismarck (CSi) The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission reports that airline boardings at Jamestown and Devils Lake continue to increase.

In July this year boardings at Jamestown Regional Airport jumped to 872 from 652 in July of 2014, an increase of 33.7%

In Devils Lake airline boardings in July this year were 561 compared to 491 in July of 2014, and increase of 14.2%

Boardings at North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports in July dropped about 4 percent from the previous year.

The state Aeronautics Commission reports Dickinson had the biggest percentage drop, of just under 30 percent.  Minot saw the biggest drop in actual passengers, with about 3,700 fewer boardings than in July 2014.

Airports in Fargo, Grand Forks and Williston also saw decreases over the year, while airports in Bismarck, Devils Lake and Jamestown saw increases.

Officials have cited slumping oil activity and a weaker Canadian dollar as reasons for drops in boardings in recent months.
