Thompson,applicant for Fargo Police Chief

Valley City  (CSi)  13 applications have been received for Fargo Police Chief, and according to the Fargo Forum, an applicant is Valley City Police Chief, Fred Thompson.

Thompson started as the Valley City Police Chief in July of 2012. Before that, Thompson worked for the Henderson, Nevada Police Department for nearly 29 years.

The city of Fargo will accept applications until August 21, 2015, then,  a seven-person selection committee, of city officials, police officers and a city resident will pare the list of applicants to six finalists.

A new police chief could be named by late September or early October. The salary range for the job is $119,000 to $154,000.
