Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Jamestown College Wind Ensemble will present a Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 in DeNault Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
The group will perform Christmas favorites including James Curnow’s “Fanfare for Christmas,” Robert Foster’s “Stars and Stripes for Christmas” based on Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever,” Alfred Reed’s arrangement of “Greensleeves,” “Russian Dance” from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, and Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.”
A clarinet ensemble will perform “Away in a Manger,” “Here We Come A-Caroling,” and “Ding Dong Merrily on High.”
The Wind Ensemble performs under the direction of Benjamin D. Schneider, Director of Bands and Orchestra at Jamestown College.
