EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP Dec 5, 2012) – The Minnesota Vikings are moving onwithout their best wide receiver, Percy Harvin.
He was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, ending his season.
Harvin said Thursday that he’s disappointed he couldn’t finish the
year but his sprained left ankle hasn’t allowed him “to progress
to the point where I can help our team.” He said he looks forward
to “coming back stronger and better than ever.”
Harvin was hurt on Nov. 4 at Seattle. The Vikings host Chicago
this Sunday.
Harvin hasn’t spoken to reporters in two weeks. Teammates said
Thursday they wished Harvin would’ve been able to return but
stressed the importance of focusing on the players they have
available.
