STATESBORO, Ga. – Dec. 11, 2012 – As the Georgia Southern University Eagles travel to Fargo, N.D. to play the North Dakota State University Bison in the NCAA Football Championship Series semifinals on Friday, the University wants to come home with more than just a victory.
Georgia Southern hopes to win the heart of at least one North Dakota high school senior considering where to attend college next fall. The University has students from more than 90 countries and 49 states; however, there is not a student enrolled from North Dakota.
“We have had students from North Dakota attend Georgia Southern previously. Unfortunately, we in recent years have not had one,” said Christian Flathman, associate vice president for marketing and communications. “We’re excited about the opportunity to not only play a football game on national television Friday night, but to also promote our University to high school seniors in the state and around the country.”
