NDHP2Valley City  (CSi)  n The North dakota Highway Patrol reports a Cooperstown woman was seriously injured in a one vehicle accident, Monday morning, about 7:30-a.m. when she lost control of her car, on Barnes County Road 21, nine miles north of Valley City.

The report says the 2009 Malibu, operated by 28 year old Katie Hedstrom of Cooperstown,  drifted from the southbound lane into the ditch. A short distance later the vehicle struck an approach, became airborne and rolled before coming to rest on its wheels.  She suffered serious injuries, and was transported by Barnes County Ambulance Service, to Valley City, then flown to a Fargo Hospital. 

She was wearing a seat belt

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol, who was asssited by the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, Barnes County Fire Department and the ambulance service.
