Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Dec 19, 2012) — The annual Santa Cops and Kids event on Monday (Dec 17, 2012) in Valley City, included 40 children, shopping with their sponsor and taking part in other activities.
The kids shopped for presents and wrapped the gifts, had their photos taken with Santa, and were taken for pizza.
Police say a number of area businesses and individuals assist with the activities, including wrapping gifts for the children or contribute money donations for the program.
The event helps less fortunate area children celebrate Christmas while having the experience of gaining trust and friendships with law enforcement personnel.
Participants Santa Cops and Kids included: Valley City police Department, Barnes County, and RansomCounty Sheriff’s Offices, the North Dakota Highway Patrol, state Task Force, Lisbon and Valley City Fire Departments.

Valley City (KCSi-T.V. News Dec 13, 2012) — Volunteers are needed to help wrap presents, as Valley City area law enforcement agencies hosts their annual Santa Cops & Kids.

The event takes place, Monday, December 17, 2012 in Valley City.
Children are taken out for pizza and transported in squad cars and emergency vehicles to shop with an officer.
After, they return to the law enforcement center where they will wrap Christmas presents for themselves and family members.
The program is for less fortunate area children, and money raised is spent locally to benefit Barnes County residents.
