FARGO, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota State University has placed sanctions against its softball team and forwarded a campus investigation to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
 
     The the sanctions come after the team violated team rules and athletic department policies at a team party and at a separate altercation on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
 
     The university says the sanctions include game suspensions ranging from three to 10 games.
 
     Ray Boyer is the director of the university’s police and safety office. He says an investigation involving one or more softball players has been completed and sent to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office.
 
     The state’s attorney’s office says the reports have not yet been reviewed.
