JmstnPublicLibraryJamestown (CSi) The James River Valley Library System Board of Directors has unanimously approved replacing all lights in Alfred Dickey Library within the next couple of years.

They will be light-emitting diode, or LED lights, which will save power costs and energy.

The board also unanimously passed a motion on Monday to eliminate a back axle for the previously approved bid for a new bookmobile and to add air brakes to it.

The absence of the second axle will save the board $8,000.,

It was announced that the elevator has been completed, at a cost around $57,000.
