JPD3Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Police report, a Bismarck man was arrested Saturday evening in Jamestown after his vehicle was stopped on suspicion of an armed robbery in Valley City.

Lt. Justin Blinsky says police were alerted about 54 year old Mark Holland, of Bismarck, possibly heading west from Valley City after an altercation that may have included an armed robbery. Holland was believed to be armed with a rifle and handgun.

Jamestown officers spotted the vehicle traveling west on Old Highway 10. The vehicle then turned south on 86th Avenue Southeast and then into a farm yard where officers apprehended the suspect. No weapons were found in the vehicle.

Holland was arrested on driving under suspension and suspicion of driving under the influence, Blinsky said. He said the Valley City Police Department is still investigating the alleged armed robbery.

 

Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Police Department is investigating an assault with a baseball bat.

The report says the incident happened early Sunday morning.

Lt. Justin Blinsky says officers were called to Jamestown Regional Medical Center at 2:12 a.m. where an 18-year-old Jamestown man was being treated for possible facial fractures and vision problems.

Police questioning the injured person and those who had brought him to the JRMC, learned the alleged assault occurred at 156 Sunnyside Trailer Court, Five juveniles and five adults were questioned at the location.

Blinsky said the investigation is continuing, but several arrests are anticipated.
