Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a one vehicle rollover on I-94 east of Jamestown just before 9-p.m., Monday, was one of several accidents during the evening. The report says an ambulance operated by 31 year old Aaron Tangren of Bismarck was driving in snow and freezing conditions which caused an icy stretch of roadway east of Jamestown.
Multiple vehicles slid into the ditch and median.
The westbound ambulance, on a return trip from Fargo, slid into the median and rolled.
No patients were being transported at the time of the crash. Tangren and a passenger,24 year old William Caldwell of Jamestown were taken by Jamestown Area Ambulance service to Jamestown Regional Medical Center where they were treated and released.
Damage to the ambulance was estimated at $80,000.
The ambulance driver was cited for care required.
The crash remains under investigation.
