Oakes,ND (KCSi-T.V. News Dec 20, 2012) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol investigated an accident, where granual fertilizer spilled on the roadway.
The report says the accident occurred on Highway 1 near the North Dakota, South Dakota border, in rural Dickey County.
The highway was closed for an hour and a half Thursday afternoon.
The driver, 62 year old James Mooney of Hillsboro was heading south on Highway 1 when the vehicle drifted onto the west shoulder of the roadway entering a curve.
Mooney over-corrected, and the truck and trailer rolled, spilling the granular fertilizer.
Traffic was diverted around the scene onto adjacemt roads.
Mooney was transported to Oakes Community Hospital.
He was charged with Care Required.
The accident remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
