Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — Following the death of six men, in a crash between a pickup and a semi Wednesday morning (Dec 26, 2012) on I-94, near Jamestown, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reminds motorists, to….NOT…use their vehicle’s cruise control, while roadway conditions are slippery….and slow down.
The Highway Patrol said the pickup that lost control in Wednesday’s accident, may have had the cruise control engaged, which caused the truck to lose control, crossing the median and t-boned by a semi in the oppose lane.
Also three accidents on Wednesday morning on Interstate 94 near Valley City, led to personal injuries.
One accident occurred near exit 294 involving a pickup pulling a boat and trailer, which struck an overhead sign.
A pickup truck and car were involved in an accident on the interstate, when the eastbound pickup went into the median and entered the westbound lane, and struck by a car.
Another accident involved pickup truck, pulling a trailer, going off the roadway into the ditch, near Exit 290. No injuries reported
Those injured were treated at Mercy Hospital in Valley City with non life threatening injuries.
