Valley City  (CSi)   The Valley City Fire Department Tuesday evening about 10:45-p.m. responded to a chimney fire outside a home at 6th Avenue Northeast.

Fire Chief Gary Retterath says a poorly installed chimney may have led to the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.

The fire was contained outside the home and no interior damage was reported.
