Valley City (CSi ) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a two vehicle accident on I-94 at 6:06 pm, at mile marker 291,Wednesday led to two injuries.
The report says a 2005 Chevy Cobalt was operated by 23 year old McKenzie Willits of Hawley, Minnesota. A Toyota Rav4 was driven by 62 year old Linda Beyer, from Hamilton, Montana.
The Chevrolet driven by Willits was eastbound at 75-80 mph with cruise control on. Willits lost control of the vehicle. The Chevrolet crossed the median and drove onto the westbound lanes before striking the Toyota driven by Beyer head on. The vehicles came to rest on the westbound shoulders of the road. Both driver’s were transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City. Injuries are not life threatening. Willits was treated and released. The crash remains under investigation.
The crash remains under investigation with the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Other law enforcement agencies including the Valley City Police Department and the Barnes County Sheriff’s office also assisted at the crash scene in Valley City.
