During his Valley City presentation Rafael Cruz spoke to the importance of electing a candidate who will bring America back to the conservative roots as Ronald Reagan of the early 1980′s.

Cruz spoke about his son being well read on the constitution, compared to the current president or the GOP front runner (Donald Trump.)

Cruz urged North Dakota party leaders to make a difference and support his son Ted Cruz when Republican delegates meet this coming weekend, in Fargo, to select their candidates.

In 1957 Rafael Cruz immigrated to the United States with little more than $100 to his name and barely able to speak English, he studied math and chemical engineering at the University of Texas and earned a degree, worked in the energy industry before becoming a pastor.

Rafael Cruz was born in Cuba, and as a teenager in the 1950’s, he supported the overthrow of the oppressive Batista regime which landed him in prison, where he was tortured.

Senator Ted Cruz will be speaking at the North Dakota Republican Convention at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Scheels Arena in Fargo.

Former GOP presidential hopeful Ben Carson will also address convention attendees. His speech is scheduled for Sunday.
