Update…

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Authorities have filed child neglect charges against the parents of a 5-year-old boy found wandering alone in Bismarck.

22-year-old Zacheriah Treetop and 22-year-old Kaitlin Shoots The Enemy allegedly didn’t report their child missing for almost 7 hours on Wednesday.

Authorities say a 3-year-old child was left unattended inside the couple’s apartment during the same time frame.

The parents both face a felony child neglect charge that carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Shoots The Enemy also faces a misdemeanor charge for allegedly giving police a false identity. That charge carries a potential sentence of a year behind bars.

Court documents do not list an attorney for the couple, and a home telephone listing could not be found.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A jury has convicted an Underwood man for sexually assaulting a woman he knew and threatening her with a gun.

Brady Blotske was found guilty Friday of gross sexual imposition, felonious restraint and terrorizing.

McLean County State’s Attorney Ladd Erickson says he spoke with the victim about the verdict.

Erickson says it gives her “peace of mind.”

Defense attorney Alex Kelsch says Blotske is disappointed with the outcome and hasn’t ruled out appealing.

The victim testified at trial that Blotske used electrical tape to bind her hands, raped her and threatened her with a firearm in the May 2015 incident.

Blotske is set to be sentenced after a presentence investigation.

In world and national news….

DALLAS (AP) – Police say an officer has shot a man outside the Dallas airport while responding to a domestic disturbance. They say the man was using rocks to attack a woman in a car at Dallas Love Field Friday afternoon when an officer responded. A Dallas police official says the man rushed the officer.      WASHINGTON (AP) – Hillary Clinton is expected to receive an endorsement from the AFL-CIO, the nation’s largest labor federation.      BALTIMORE (AP) – Prosecutors are introducing a new theory at a murder trial for a Baltimore police van driver charged in the death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man whose neck was broken in the back of the wagon. They say not only was Officer Caesar Goodson negligent when he didn’t buckle Gray into a seat belt, he intentionally wanted to injure Gray by giving him a “rough ride” – blowing through a stop sign and making a sharp turn at such a high speed that he crossed a double yellow line. A prosecutor says with his hands cuffed and his legs shackled, Gray was thrown helplessly against the rear compartment.
