Jamestown (CSi) Voter turnout on Tuesday at the Jamestown Civic Center was described as light but steady.
Stutsman County COO/Auditor, Casey Bradley says, voters came early when the polls opened at 7-a.m., and he anticipated that voting may be steadier between 5-p.m. and 7-p.m. today, when the polls close. He doesn’t feel that the steady rain all day was having an effect on the turnout, so far.
With absentee ballots, as of Tuesday afternoon, the courthouse has counted 365 ballots. More may be coming in by mail, and will be counted when they arrive, if they carry a post mark of Monday June 13th. Those will be added to the total when the votes are canvassed.
In Valley City, Barnes County Auditor Beth Didier says voter turn was faily heavy, with in-person voting at the Barnes County Courthouse.
She pointed out that about 1,800 mail-in ballots have been received as of Tuesday.
She added that mail-in ballots still arriving at the courthouse on Tuesday with a post mark no later than Monday June 13th will be counted on Tuesday.
Those arriving after Tuesday with a post mark no later than Monday will be counted during the vote canvassing.
