Jamestown (CSi) The James River Humane Society is offering a reduced adoption fee for dogs and cats.
On Friday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Vice President Matt Opsahl said the fee is reduced from $135 to $100 through August and may continue in September.
He pointed out that the shelter has 20 dogs including puppies.
There area around 20 cats available for adoption.
He said volunteers are need to care for the shelter dogs.
He added that a Car and Pet wash will be on Saturday August 20, 2016 from 2-p.m., to 5-p.m., at Unison Bank in Downtown Jamestown, as a shelter fundraiser.
It will be conducted by the Jamestown High School Girl’s Swim and Volleyball teams.
The shelter is planning an Open House in October with more information to be released later.
The James River Humane Society is located off the I-94 Bloom Exit, open everyday from 9-a.m. to noon and 5:30-p.m., to 6:30-p.m., or by appointment.

Donations of food toys blankets and cleaning supplies can be dropped off at the shelter, or at the drop box at Hugo’s in Jamestown.
