Six Fire fighters were dispatched from the fire hall to the scene, at 3:20-p.m.

City Fire Chief Jim Reuther said the elevator stopped between the second and third floors, about a foot below the third floor.

The “key” to manually open the elevator doors was not readily available, so CSi photographer Thomas Ravely retrieved an elevator “key” from the CSi Technology Center at Historic Franklin,  which allowed the doors to be opened.   Hats off to Tom for his quick thinking.

The female inside was then able to leave the elevator car, unhurt.

He said the firefighters cleared the scene about 3:57-p.m.
