MIAMI (AP) One of the most recognizable — and most polarizing — figures from the Bill Clinton administration has died. Janet Reno was the first woman to serve as U.S. attorney general. And she was in the post for nearly eight years — the longest stint in that office in a century. She was at the center of a series of political storms, including the raid on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, and the seizure of five-year-old Cuban immigrant Elian Gonzalez. Reno died early today in Florida of complications from Parkinson’s disease. She was 78.
