TroskeDavid1aNew Rockford  (CSi)   –  The New Rockford man who pleaded guilty to charges of murder and attempted murder was sentenced to prison Thursday in Southeast District Court in New Rockford.

52 year-old David Troske was sentenced to 29 years in prison for murdering a Pingree man, 41 year old Donnie Perleberg,   at a 2015 New Rockford wedding reception at the New Rockford Eagles Club.

Judge Thomas Merrick also sentenced Troske to 20 years in prison for the attempted murder of Mary Seiler of New Rockford, also at the wedding reception.

The sentences will run concurrently.

Troske received credit for jail time served.

Troske pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder in Southeast District Court last September.

Troske admitted to firing a single shot into the neck of Donnie Perleberg of Pingree, killing him.  He also admitted to shooting Mary Seiler of New Rockford.  She subsequently recovered from her injury.
