Significant freezing rain and sleet fell across portions of south

central North Dakota…especially in the southern James River

Valley. Ice accumulations estimated to a half inch were reported

in Jamestown. This has caused widespread power outages in

Jamestown as well as Dickey and LaMoure counties.

Increasing winds gusting as high as 55 mph caused tree limbs

and  power lines with ice accumulations to snap.
