fireworks4Jamestown  (CSi)   Fireworks may be detonated on Sat Dec 31 from 12 Noon to 1AM January 1st.  You can celebrate the New Year tonight, however, you will have to stop by 1AM.

Hours:

  • Dec 26 ….12 noon to 11pm
  • Dec 27 ….12 noon to 11pm
  • Dec 28 ….12 noon to 11pm
  • Dec 29 ….12 noon to 11pm
  • Dec 30 ….12 noon to 11pm
  • Dec 31 ….12 noon to 1AM on Jan 1

That means you can’t shoot off fireworks after 11pm or before noon,  except on New Year’s eve,  when you can detonate fireworks to 1am January 1 to celebrate the New Year.    After 1AM on January 1st,  no fireworks allowed until July.

Sale of fireworks shall be allowed only in areas zoned commercial or industrial.   No person shall offer any fireworks for sale unless such person is a resident of the city or living within the one-mile area under the city zoning control.

The Jamestown City Council may, by resolution, allow the sale or use of fireworks at any other time or date during the calendar year.
