SwedlundJamestown  (CSi)  Jamestown Tourism is working on plans for 2017, including an updated marketing campaign, along with attending a spring international travel planners conference in Bismarck.

On Friday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Tourism Director, Searle Swedlund said, the marketing campaign includes updating the Community Guide, along with continued highlighting of the Jamestown area tourist attractions of sports, camping and hunting.

He pointed out continued emphasis on the area history, including the 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse.

Swedlund pointed out that applications are coming in for the next round of grants, with the City Promotion and Capital Construction funding, due on March 1st.

In addition, a January meeting is set for the Tourism Grant/Executive Board to hear grant requests.
