Jamestown  (CSi)  The Jamestown City Fire Department was called out about 10:05 a.m. to 805 5th Avenue Northeast,  where there was a report of smoke in an apartment unit.

Lt. Sheldon Mohr says smoking materials discarded in a trash can caused the fire, with minimal smoke damage to the apartment unit.  No fire damage and no other apartment units were affected.

Fire city fire units and 27 fire fighters were on the scene about 20 minutes.
