calculator2Bismarck  (CSi)  The North Dakota State Tax Department in  its third-quarter 2016 report showed that  North Dakota had a 19.9 percent decline in taxable sales and purchases compared to the third quarter of 2015.

The Jamestown taxable sale and purchases declined 2.2 percent, down from $68.3 million in the third quarter of 2016, and  $69.8 million in the third quarter of 2015.

However, Jamestown saw a 1.9 percent increase in retail sales in the third quarter, rising from $37.5 million in 2015 to $38.2 million in 2016.

In the area, Ellendale saw an increase of 27.5 percent with taxable sales and purchases from $2.7 million in 2015 to $3.5 million in the third quarter of 2016.
