Jamestown  (CSi)  The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports two 15 year old West Fargo females were injured, one seriously in a one vehicle crash Friday about 5:30-p.m. on I-94 a half mile west of Jamestown.

The Ford Fiesta was traveling east on I-94 from Bismarck to Fargo when it left the roadway and entered the south ditch. The driver over corrected the vehicle and it struck a support pole for an exit sign.

The Jamestown Rescue Squad was called to assist with extrication at the scene.

Both the driver and passenger were transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, the driver was later life flighted to Sanford in Fargo. Distracted driving is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts

This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Also investigating at the scene were:  the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, and Jamestown Police Department.
