Jamestown  (CSi)  Jamestown Police is warning Jamestown residents concerning a convicted sex offender living in Jamestown.

David Leroy Thorson resides at 2605 Circle Drive, at the State Hospital,Transitional Home.

Thorson is a 47 year old white male, five feet nine inches tall, weighing 220 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee of the Attorney General’s Office.

Offense:  Gross Sexual Imposition involving a 9 year old girl on two occasions.

Conviction Date:  August 2002 Morton County District Court.

Disposition: Count 1-10 years, 3 years suspended, 203 days credit.

Count 2 10 years, 7 years suspended 203 credit, supervised probation

 

Offense:  Corruption of a minor, providing alcohol to a 15 year old girl, and had intercourse with her.

Conviction Date: August  1991 Billings County District Court.

Disposition:  180 days.

 

Offense: Corruption of a minor,  concerning a 16 year old girl, within a month he forced a 15 year old and a 16 year old girl to have intercourse with him.

Conviction Date: June 1991

Disposition: 1 year.

 

Offense:  Gross Sexual Imposition involving a 14 year old girl.

Conviction Date: June 1991 in Stark County District Court.

Disposition:  10 years, 8 and a half years suspended.

Thorson is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court.

This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender.

Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders, their families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
