Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — Water and sewer projects slated for this summer are progressing in the planning stages.
On Monday’s (Feb 4, 2013) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Jamestown Mayor Katie Andersen said, the 750,000 gallon water tower to be constructed on State Hospital land will soon have the specs reviewed to be approved, followed by bid advertising.
The city has signed a five year lease with the State Hospital, and is discussing a 99-year easement with the state.
The tower’s constructed is slated to start this spring, and completed by the end of 2013. Painting of the tower will take place in the spring of 2014.
With the upcoming sewer lift station replacements, and force main project, Mayor Andersen said that project will also start this spring.
She said land needed is being purchased, with the lift station near the CSi Technology Center at Historic Franklin School, to be moved a newly constructed across the river.
The lift station near Bollinger Tennis Courts will also be replaced.
She pointed out that construction of the associated new sewer lines will cause traffic detours, which will be outlined by the city through CsiNewsNow.com and The Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, through the project.
