Jamestown  (CSi)  A 48 year-old  California man, Samuel Henry Hanna was sentenced to four years in prison.

On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, Hanna pleaded guilty to a Class A felony, drug charge, stemming from evidence gathered during a traffic stop by the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office on March 28, 2017.

 

 

Stutsman County Deputy Matt Thom had conducted the traffic stop, and a search of the vehicle by a K-9 unit turned up about  16 and a half pounds of marijuana in his possession.

Hanna said the marijuana was for medicinal purposes.

Stutsman County State’s Attorney, Fritz Fremgen dropped three charges of possession of controlled substance and two possessions of drug paraphernalia, in exchange for a guilty plea.
