Update…

Streeter (CSi)  The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a Streeter man who died in a car fire that occurred May 27th.

Sheriff Chad Kaiser says 67 year old Stanley Schauer was found in the burned car at a rural residence, at 50th Avenue Southeast,six miles northwest of Streeter that Saturday morning.

No foul play is suspected.  The cause of the car fire is undetermined, as the investigation is closed.

Streeter  (CSi)  The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office is  conducting an on-going investigation into a body found in a fire burned car Saturday morning at a rural residence six miles northwest of Streeter, ND, on 50th Avenue SE.

Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says investigation concerns the body and the cause of the fire.

Kaiser says at this time, the  sheriff’s office had not positively identified the body found in the car.  DNA will be obtained from a relative to confirm the identity of the body.

An autopsy was performed Tuesday morning.

No foul play is suspected at this point in the investigation.
