The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports:
Desiree McKay was taken into custody by the Fargo PD at the Sanford ER in Fargo during the early morning hours on June 2nd, 2017. Ms. McKay was transported to the Cass County Jail and is currently in their custody, pending transfer back to the custody of the ND Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The NDHP would like to thank the Jamestown Police Department and the Fargo Police Department with their help in investigating the escape, searching for Ms. McKay and eventually locating her in Fargo.

Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol is informing the public that at approximately 3:30 pm on Thursday June 1, 2017, one individual escaped from a ND Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation funded addiction treatment unit at the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown. The individual escaped from a fenced outdoor enclosure at the treatment facility.
The escapee is 33 year old Desiree Marie McKay, 130 lbs, with short brown hair and brown eyes. Desiree was last seen wearing a medium blue t-shirt, khaki shorts, and red frame glasses. She has a tattoo of a rose on her right and left hands and her left bicep area
McKay has ties to the Jamestown, Bismarck, New England and Ft. Totten, ND areas.
A vehicle was stolen from the Jamestown area at the approximate time of her escape. It is a white, 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe with chrome rims, ND license 917BCE.
The Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s assistance in locating McKay. If you spot McKay or the stolen Chevrolet Tahoe, do not approach her or the vehicle. Contact law enforcement immediately by dialing 911 or call North Dakota State Radio Communications Center at 1-800-472-2121.
