Jamestown (CSi) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Friday reversed the previously announced water release at Pipestem Dam.
Bob Martin at Pipestem says the change from the zero cfs. to 200 cfs that was made on Thursday, has been set back to zero cfs.
The Jamestown Dam release will stay at the current 450 cfs, until further notice, the total release through the James River in Jamestown at this time.
He says the Pipestem Dam release was cut back to zero cfs. to accommodate Krappy production and keep higher water levels at the shoreline, for habitat purposes.
He added that around June 15 or 16 the Pipestem Dam release will increase to an appropriate level to meet the goal of lowering the flood storage area to freeze level up by September 1, 2017.
Depending on rainfall amounts, later this summer the Jamestown Dam release will be adjusted to meet inflows.

Steele (CSi) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports , two men were injured after one motorcyclist ran into a deer on I-94 east of Steele, Saturday.
Three motorcycles were traveling westbound to Bismarck when a deer ran across the roadway and was struck by 60 year-old Lyle Herman. Herman was thrown from his motorcycle and came to rest in the north ditch. 30 year-old Christof Paul locked his brakes and laid his motorcycle over to avoid striking debris from Herman’s motorcycle.
Herman was transported to Sanford Health in Bismarck for his injuries. Paul was transported to CHI St. Alexius-Bismarck for his injuries. Neither were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation.
CARTWRIGHT, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a Montana man has died in a pickup crash in McKenzie County.
Authorities say the 26-year-old man was traveling east on Highway 200 near Cartwright late Saturday when the Dodge Ram went into the ditch, spun around and overturned. The driver, from Billings, Montana, was thrown from the pickup and died.
The victim’s name was not immediately released.
KINDRED, N.D. (AP) — Police say numerous charges are expected against a Davenport man accused of driving drunk, crashing an SUV, fleeing the scene and leaving an injured passenger behind.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the 24-year-old driver turned off Highway 46 near Kindred Saturday night onto a gravel road when he lost control and the SUV flipped into a ditch, coming to rest on its roof.
The driver fled, but was found a mile away without shoes. The 26-year-old female passenger was taken to Essentia Hospital in Fargo. The extent of her injuries isn’t known.
Authorities say besides driving drunk and leaving the scene of a crash, the man’s license was suspending and he didn’t have auto insurance.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A woman accused of shooting at law officers during a protest against the Dakota Access oil pipeline wants to get out of jail before her trial next month.
An attorney for 38-year-old Red Fawn Fallis argues releasing Fallis from jail to a halfway house would facilitate communication.
Attorney Bruce Ellison told The Bismarck Tribune that a noncustodial setting would allow him and Fallis to “better go through videos, pictures and have open discussion.”
But Assistant U.S. Attorney David Hagler argues Fallis remains a flight risk.
Prosecutors allege that Fallis, who is from Denver, fired a gun three times at officers during an operation to force pipeline protesters off private land in October. Fallis has pleaded not guilty.
U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland has not yet ruled on the request.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck program that provides tax exemptions and credits to both residents and businesses for revitalization and redevelopment activities is expiring in July.
The city’s downtown Renaissance Zone was granted a 15-month extension by the North Dakota Department of Commerce to allow clarification during the legislative session on the state laws governing it.
After the session, lawmakers said letters from the county, schools and park board would need to be submitted for the program’s continuation.
Brian Ritter is the Bismarck-Mandan Development Association’s president. He says the association will be hosting a public meeting June 7 to answer questions.
Rikki Roehrich, of the State Commerce Department, says she’s been working with Legislative Council to determine whether Bismarck could bring the program back at a later date if it’s not renewed.
The city has used the Renaissance Zone Program since 2001.
MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Dwindling revenue sources in Minot will mean tough decisions about city spending in the future.
The city recently held workshops to discuss topics including declining mill levy, which dropped from 122 mills in 2007 to nearly 78 in 2016. The decrease could’ve been due to Minot’s increased valuation. Higher property values and appropriated acres contributed to the city’s valuation.
In 2016, Minot appropriated 17,753 acres, which was up 85 percent from the 9,600 acres appropriated in 2007.
In some cases, the city on the edge of the oil patch built out infrastructure to annexed acres only to see a stall in the development that generates tax revenue. Sales tax income also is declining back to pre-oil boom levels.
City Manager Tom Barry says that will remain an issue until “those undeveloped areas fill in.”

AMERICAN LEAGUE
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — A video review overturned Ben Revere’s stolen base and changed the call to a caught stealing for the final out, and the Minnesota Twins beat the Los Angeles Angels 3-2 on Sunday behind Miguel Sano’s go-ahead, two-run homer in the sixth inning.
Revere singled with one out in the ninth against Brandon Kintzler, and Cliff Pennington popped out. Eric Young Jr. took a called strike, Kintzler made a pair of pickoff throws to first and Revere took off for second as Young swung and missed.
Revere slid headfirst ahead of catcher Jason Castro’s throw to shortstop Ehire Adrianza, and second base umpire Clint Fagan called him safe. But Revere slid past the base as Adrianza tagged his left foot. After Twins manager Paul Molitor challenged the call, Revere was called out about 1 minute, 45 seconds later. Kintzler earned his 15th save in 17 chances as Minnesota took three of four from the Angels to open a 10-game trip.

COLLEGE BASEBALL…
CHAPEL HILL, NC (AP) — Best known as the school where Stephen Curry played his college basketball, Davidson is quickly making a name for itself in baseball. The Wildcats from the 2,000-student private school 20 minutes from Charlotte, North Carolina, became the sixth No. 4 regional seed to advance to a super regional in the college baseball championship tournament. They did it by beating No. 2 national seed North Carolina 2-1 on Sunday night — their second win over the Tar Heels in three days.
NASCAR
DOVER, Del. (AP) — Jimmie Johnson sped off on the final restart and earned another slice of NASCAR history, winning at Dover for the 11th time and moving into a tie for sixth on the career victories list.
Johnson again made history Sunday at his favorite track — and he worked hard to take this checkered flag. He was forced to start from the rear of the field because of a gear change, then zipped past Kyle Larson in overtime on the final restart.
Johnson tied Hall of Fame driver Cale Yarborough for sixth on the career wins list with 83. Johnson may have had a sense history was ahead in the No. 48 Chevrolet. He wore a helmet painted in tribute to Yarborough. He tweeted this weekend, “Growing up in El Cajon I never imagined I would have a chance to tie Cale in wins.”
Johnson also joined Richard Petty and Darrell Waltrip as the only drivers to win at the same track 11 times.
DOVER, Del. (AP) — Police say a man climbed the fence separating fans from the racetrack during Sunday’s NASCAR race at Dover International Speedway in Delaware.
Dover police say 43-year-old John Infanti of Greenwood was spotted atop the fence shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, while the race was going on.
Security guards spoke to Infanti and he came down from the fence. He was then arrested. Police say Infanti kicked an officer in the knee as he was being taken into custody.
He’s been charged with offenses including trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
INDYCAR-DETROIT
DETROIT (AP) — Graham Rahal completed a doubleheader sweep in the Detroit Grand Prix on Sunday to become IndyCar’s first two-time winner this season.
Rahal’s Honda-powered car finished 1.17 seconds ahead of Josef Newgarden’s Chevrolet, a day after getting to the checkered flag six-plus seconds ahead of the competition.
The Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver pulled away for the victory after a single-file final restart with two laps to go in the 70-lap race on Belle Isle course.
Rahal became the first to sweep in Detroit since it began hosting doubleheaders in 2013. He became the first to win two IndyCar races in a weekend since Scott Dixon pulled off the feat four years ago in Toronto.
GOLF…
DUBLIN, Ohio (AP) — He’s smiling, sort of. Low-key PGA pro Jason Dufner will deposit a $1,566,000 check he earned late Sunday at the Memorial tournament run by icon Jack Nicklaus. Dufner capped off a 68 with a 30-foot par putt on the final hole for a three-shot victory. A win didn’t seem to be in the cards on Saturday when he shot a 5-over-par 77. Dufner says he knew he was still in the mix because the tournament is 72 holes and that a “lot of things can happen out there.”
In world and national news…
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is criticizing his own Justice Department for asking the Supreme Court to review a “watered down, politically correct version” of the travel ban he signed in March. In a series of morning tweets, Trump says the Justice Department “should have stayed” with the first travel ban executive order.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The head of Iran’s influential parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy says the differences between Saudi Arabia and Qatar is the result of U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent visit to the region. The official IRNA news agency on Monday cited Alaeddin Boroujerdi as saying that because of the signing of a major arms deal between the Saudis and the U.S. during Trump’s trip: “It is not unlikely that we would witness more negative incidents in the region.”
LONDON (AP) — British counterterrorism investigators have searched two homes and detained “a number” of people in the investigation into a van and knife attack in the heart of London that left seven people dead. Dozens were injured, many of them critically, in the attack that started on the London Bridge, when three attackers swerved the vehicle into pedestrians then, armed with knives, rampaged through Borough Market, slashing and stabbing anyone they could find.
LONDON (AP) — Prime Minister Theresa May says she supports the “shoot to kill” policy used by London police in responding to terror attacks. May says police saved “countless lives” by killing the three London bridge attackers within eight minutes on Saturday night. May says police counter-terrorism resources are well-funded despite cuts to police staffing levels. She has been criticized for staff cuts during her tenure as Home Secretary.
LONDON (AP) — A witness of Saturday night’s attack at London Bridge says the three attackers were just stabbing one woman constantly from every direction. Gerard Vowls says he heard someone else moan “I’ve been stabbed.” Vowls then ran through the streets, warning bystanders and others in crowded restaurants and bars as doors slammed shut. The attackers retreated from at least one establishment when they were met with a barrage of glass bottles.
