Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Police arrested two individuals following the pursuit of a vehicle shortly after 6-p.m., Wednesday.
Police say the pursuit began at the intersection of 18th Street Southwest and Highway 281.
The vehicle being pursued went through the fence of the buffalo pasture, and then the suspects fled on foot, east of Buffalo City Diesel.
Police Sgt. Mann says the pair were caught on foot, and taken into custody.

Jamestown (CSi) The northbound lane under the 4th Avenue Northeast viaduct in Jamestown was blocked to traffic early Wednesday evening after a semi-trailer rig became stuck under the structure.
The investigation is continuing by Jamestown Police.
Bismarck (CSi) The NDDOT informs motorists that the west bound off ramp on I-94 at the Windsor Interchange, (Exit 242) is now open to traffic. The ramp was temporarily closed Tuesday for repairs.

Jamestown (CSi) The All Vets Club in Jamestown will host a Viet Nam Memory Night on Friday June 16, 2017, starting at 5-p.m.
The event will honor the lives lost during the Viet Nam War, 1963-1975.
On Wednesday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Stutsman County Veterans Service Officer, David Bratton said, veterans and their families are invited. There will be a short presentation with the reading of the 203 names of those from North Dakota who gave their lives in action. Ten Viet Nam veterans, family members or volunteers will be asked to each read about 20 names.
Dinner will be served at a cost.

Also on our show, he said a telephone scam is circulating under the pretense of calling concerning the Veterans Choice program, as the caller asks for personal information such as a social security number, and credit card information.
David said that the V.A. never asks for the information over the phone and should not be given out.

Jamestown (CSi) What’s hoped to be the first “Bikers for a Cause” benefit run, last Saturday raised about $5,000 for five charitable causes.
Benefiting from the run were: Teen City, The North Dakota Veterans Home in Lisbon, DAV Regan McLean Chapter No.5, and the Great Plains Food Bank.
Stutsman Harley Davidson Marketing Manager Ashley Domino says $3,971 were raised.
$200 was donated by the Bergseth Brothers
$414.50 was donated from the Jamestown HOG Chapter.
$414.50 was donated from Stutsman Harley Davidson for a grand total of $5,000.
151 bikes, and 58 passengers for a total of 209 participants.
WILLISON, N.D. (AP) — Williston police and the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a car on the Williston State College campus.
The entrance to the college was sealed off for much of the day Tuesday as authorities investigated. Police Capt. Amy Nickoloff says the man was in his 20’s. The college says he was not a student.
An autopsy by the state medical examiner should help determine a cause of death.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota’s U.S. senators say President Donald Trump has nominated U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson to serve on the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Erickson is a federal judge in Fargo. He’s served in various judicial positions for nearly a quarter of a century. In 2003, he was nominated by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as a federal judge.
Erickson says he’s “humbled and honored” by the confidence Trump has shown in him. His nomination will need to be confirmed by the Senate.
Sen. John Hoeven and Sen. Heidi Heitkamp both say they’ll support his nomination.
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals handles appeals from federal courts in the Dakotas, Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Nebraska.
MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Ranchers are bringing more cattle to auction with 25 percent of North Dakota in a moderate drought.
Kist Livestock Auction field man Matt Lachenmeier says the Mandan business has handled about 1,000 to 1,300 more animals than is typical for this time of the year.
A tough winter has depleted the hay supply with a poor outlook for a good crop this summer. Lachenmeier says the cattle brought to auction are from a widespread area. He says other sales barns across the state are also seeing increased sales.
The U.S. Drought Monitor says North Dakota has had below average precipitation during the past three months. Portions of central and south-central Dakota have gotten 25 percent to 50 percent of normal precipitation during the period.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Industrial Commission has revoked an oilfield facility’s permit for illegally dumping waste.
The commission voted Monday to revoke Apollo Resources’ permit and ordered the site be cleaned by October.
Commission records show that a state inspector observed a facility employee intentionally pumping drilling mud and wastewater onto a rancher’s pasture in October in McKenzie County, south of Williston.
Milt Madison owns the land next to the plant and says about 10 to 20 acres of his pasture have been contaminated.
A spill report estimates the contamination at more than 3,300 gallons (nearly 12,500 liters).
Apollo says the employee responsible for the contamination has since been fired and the facility “stands ready to continue its efforts to clean up the site.”
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Some residents of south central North Dakota are being urged to conserve water, as dry conditions persist.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that people in northwest Bismarck and some customers of the South Central Regional Water District in the Bismarck area have been asked to limit water use to essential purposes.
Citywide in Bismarck and in nearby Lincoln, people have been asked to reduce outdoor water use, including sprinkler systems.
The U.S. Drought Monitor map shows the region is in the midst of moderate drought.
In Mandan, the water treatment plant pumped a record amount of water in May. But Superintendent Duane Friesz says unlike Bismarck, there is no water shortage.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins plan to host the club’s first-ever draft party at Target Field Monday evening.
The Twins will select first overall for the third time in club history. The Twins said Wednesday fans are encouraged to come to the ballpark when gates open at 5:30 p.m. June 12 for a look inside the club’s draft room. The Twins are expected to make their selection shortly after 6 p.m. before the first pitch against the Seattle Mariners at 7:10 p.m.
The Twins last selected first overall in 2001, picking Joe Mauer from Cretin-Derham Hall High School.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins say shortstop Jorge Polanco has been placed on the bereavement list following the death of his grandfather.
The Twins have recalled first baseman Kennys Vargas from Triple-A Rochester to replace Polanco on the 25-man roster.
Vargas appeared in 24 games for the Twins this season, hitting .258 (23-for-89) with five home runs and 19 RBI. He’ll join the team Wednesday night in Seattle.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump says he’ll nominate a former Justice Department official as FBI director.
Trump’s tweets that his choice — lawyer Christopher Wray — is “a man of impeccable credentials.”
There’s no more information in the two-sentence tweet that ends, “Details to follow.”
Wray emerged from a list of former prosecutors, politicians and law enforcement officials interviewed by Trump since the president fired FBI Director James Comey last month.
Wray works at the King & Spalding law firm. He represented New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie during the investigation into the George Washington Bridge lane-closing case. Two former Christie aides were convicted of plotting to close bridge lanes to punish a Democratic mayor who wouldn’t endorse the Republican governor.
Wray worked for the Justice Department under President George W. Bush.
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — When a gunman opened fire at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, most of the 49 people who were killed were gay Latinos. A year later, the city’s gay Latinos are trying to build up their community by forming support groups, seeking seats at the tables of power and creating a foundation to champion gays and Latinos. They say the attack highlighted the gulf between gay people of color and other gays.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The American Civil Liberties Union says it has concerns about President Donald Trump’s pick for FBI director. The group’s national political director, Faiz Shakir, says he questions Christopher Wray’s ability to be independent, given his representation of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Christie is a Trump ally and informal adviser.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — The police chief of Tehran says that five suspects have been detained following the deadly dual attacks in Tehran that killed at least 12 people and wounded more than 40. Gen. Hossein Sajedinia told the semi-official ISNA news agency Wednesday night that police are interrogating the suspects.
